BMX, or bicycle motocross, is known for its impressive tricks and stunts. Here are some classic BMX tricks:
-
Bunny Hop: This is a fundamental trick where the rider jumps both wheels off the ground simultaneously without using a ramp.
-
Manual: A manual involves balancing on the rear wheel of the bike while pedaling without touching the front wheel to the ground.
-
Wheelie: Similar to a manual, a wheelie involves lifting the front wheel off the ground and riding on the rear wheel only.
-
Barspin: In a barspin, the rider spins the handlebars of the bike 360 degrees while in the air.
-
Tailwhip: The rider kicks the back end of the bike and makes it spin 360 degrees while staying in control.
-
180: In a 180, the rider spins the bike 180 degrees in mid-air or on the ground.
-
360: A 360 involves a full rotation of the bike, either in the air or on the ground.
-
X-Up: The rider twists their body and the handlebars in opposite directions to form an "X" shape.
-
No-Hander: The rider takes both hands off the handlebars while in the air.
-
Superman: The rider extends their body horizontally while in the air, resembling the flying position of Superman.
-
Tabletop: The rider extends the bike parallel to the ground while keeping their body upright.
-
Wallride: The rider rides up a wall or vertical surface, using the bike's momentum to maintain balance.
-
Grind: Grinds involve sliding or grinding along a rail, ledge, or other surfaces using the pegs or the bike frame.
-
Flair: A flair is a combination of a backflip and a 180-degree rotation, performed on a quarterpipe or ramp.
-
Double/Triple Tailwhip: Advanced variations of the tailwhip trick, where the rider performs two or three rotations of the bike's back end.
These are just a few examples of classic BMX tricks, and the possibilities are endless. BMX riders continually push the limits and invent new tricks to showcase their skills and creativity.
