Fastest Cycling Speed Ever Recorded

The fastest speed ever recorded on a bicycle under human power alone (i.e., without the aid of a motor or external forces) is 183.9 mph (296.0 km/h) achieved by Todd Reichert of Canada on September 2015, riding a specially designed bicycle called the Aerovelo Eta. This speed was recorded on a flat, straight, and level track at Battle Mountain, Nevada, USA, during the World Human Powered Speed Challenge. It's worth noting that this record-breaking speed was achieved in very specific conditions with a highly specialized bicycle and rider, and it is not a common or achievable speed for the average cyclist.
