Gravel bikes typically have certain distinguishing features:

  1. Frame Geometry: Gravel bikes often have a more relaxed geometry compared to road bikes, offering a more upright riding position for improved comfort and stability on longer rides.

  2. Tire Clearance: Gravel bikes have wider tire clearance to accommodate larger tires with more tread. This allows riders to use wider and more robust tires, providing better traction and shock absorption on rough surfaces.

  3. Tire Design: Gravel bike tires have a tread pattern that strikes a balance between grip on loose surfaces like gravel or dirt and rolling resistance on paved roads.
